Terms of Service

Forjet — forjet.dev Last updated: April 2026

The Short Version

Forjet assembles software projects from open-source GitHub repositories using deterministic AST transformations. You own the output. We provide the tool. These terms govern your use of that tool.

1. Acceptance

By using Forjet (forjet.dev, the Forjet application, or any Forjet API), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use Forjet.

These terms apply to all users: waitlist members, free tier users, paid subscribers, and Lifetime Deal holders.

2. What Forjet Is

Forjet is an AI Integration Orchestrator that:

  • Discovers open-source repositories on GitHub based on your input
  • Analyzes repository structure at the AST (Abstract Syntax Tree) level
  • Merges selected repositories into a single, deployable project
  • Validates the merged project in a sandboxed environment
  • Delivers the output as a downloadable archive (ZIP)
  • Generates deployment configurations (Docker, Terraform, platform-specific configs)

Forjet is currently in private beta / alpha. Features may change, break, or be removed without prior notice during this phase.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Notifying us immediately at security@forjet.dev if you suspect unauthorized access

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. What You Own

Your prompts, your configurations, your output. The text prompts you write, the repository selections you make, and the scaffolded project Forjet generates for you — these are yours. Forjet does not claim any ownership or intellectual property rights over your output.

However: The output contains code from open-source repositories, each governed by its own license (MIT, Apache 2.0, GPL, etc.). Forjet includes a forjet-manifest.json file in every scaffold that documents the source, commit SHA, and license (SPDX identifier) of every component. You are responsible for complying with those licenses. Forjet provides provenance data to help you — but we are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice on license compatibility.

5. What We Own

The Forjet application, its source code, the AST surgery engine, the recipe system, the sandbox infrastructure, the website design, and all documentation — these are owned by Forjet (Youssef Alaoui). These terms grant you a license to USE the service, not to copy, redistribute, or reverse-engineer it.

The Forjet brand, logo, and name are our trademarks. You may reference Forjet by name when describing your use of the tool (e.g., "Built with Forjet") but may not imply endorsement or partnership without written permission.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use Forjet to:

  • Assemble projects that violate the licenses of the source repositories
  • Circumvent GitHub's terms of service or API rate limits
  • Clone, analyze, or merge private repositories without authorization from the repository owner
  • Submit malicious code, URLs, or inputs designed to exploit the Forjet system
  • Use Forjet's sandbox to mine cryptocurrency, host services, or execute workloads unrelated to scaffold validation
  • Resell Forjet's output as a competing scaffolding service (building projects with Forjet and selling them is fine — selling a "scaffolding service powered by Forjet" without partnership is not)
  • Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download data from forjet.dev
  • Attempt to access other users' data, projects, or scaffold results

Violation of these terms may result in immediate account suspension.

7. Lifetime Deal (LTD) Terms

If you purchased a Forjet Lifetime Deal:

What "Lifetime" means: Access to Forjet's core scaffolding features for as long as Forjet operates as a product. "Lifetime" refers to the product's lifetime, not a literal perpetual obligation.

What's included: The tier you purchased (Builder, Architect, or Founder) with the scaffold limits, support level, and features described at the time of purchase.

What may change: We may add new features, change pricing for new customers, or modify scaffold limits for NEW tiers. Your purchased tier's limits will not be reduced below what was promised at purchase. If we significantly improve the product, LTD holders benefit from those improvements at no additional cost, unless the improvement is a separately-priced add-on (e.g., Enterprise features, dedicated support tiers).

Refund policy: 30-day refund window from date of purchase. No questions asked. After 30 days, LTD purchases are non-refundable.

If Forjet shuts down: If we cease operations entirely, we will provide at minimum 90 days notice to all LTD holders and make reasonable efforts to provide a final export of any stored data.

8. Paid Subscriptions

If you are on a monthly or annual subscription:

  • Billing is recurring. Monthly subscriptions renew monthly; annual subscriptions renew annually.
  • You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • No refunds for partial periods.
  • We may change subscription pricing with 30 days notice. Price changes do not affect your current billing period.

9. Service Availability

Forjet is provided "as is." We strive for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime, especially during the alpha/beta phase.

We may:

  • Perform maintenance with or without notice
  • Temporarily disable features for updates
  • Modify or remove features as the product evolves

We will communicate significant changes through email or in-app notifications.

10. Disclaimers

No warranty. Forjet is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

  • Every scaffold will compile, run, or deploy without issues
  • The sandbox validation catches every possible error
  • The generated project is free of bugs, vulnerabilities, or license conflicts
  • The service will be uninterrupted or error-free

Scaffold quality. While Forjet validates projects in a sandbox and reports confidence scores, the output is a starting point — not production-ready software. You are responsible for reviewing, testing, and securing the code before deploying it to production.

Open-source dependencies. Forjet assembles code from third-party open-source repositories. We do not guarantee the quality, security, or maintenance status of these repositories. The scaffold manifest provides provenance data — use it.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Forjet's total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or $100 if you are a free tier user).
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.
  • We are not liable for damages arising from your use of scaffolded code in production, including but not limited to: security breaches, data loss, downtime, or regulatory penalties.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Forjet (Youssef Alaoui) harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of Forjet
  • Your violation of these terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights (including open-source license violations)
  • Your deployment of scaffolded code in production environments

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Morocco. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Kenitra, Morocco, unless otherwise required by your local consumer protection laws.

For EU residents: you may also bring proceedings in your country of residence, and nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights under EU law.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. When we do:

  • The "Last updated" date will change
  • For material changes, we will notify you via email at least 14 days before the changes take effect
  • Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance

If you disagree with a change, you may close your account before the new terms take effect.
